Public Enemy has pushing the limits of American Hip Hop since the release of their first album 25 years ago. The group was among one of the many acts that made producer Rick Rubin a legend, and was the first group to bring the politics of being a young black youth into the limelight. Led by MC's Chuck D. and Flavor Flav (yes he was more than just a reality star), the group has put out over 10 albums, and has new music still coming out in 2012 (two new albums slated for release this year); solidifying their stance as one of the elite acts in hip hop history. Though founding DJ Terminator X hasn't been in the mix since the turn of the millenium, Chuck D., Flav, and the crew have continued their push at putting inner city politics on trial. The act embarked on their current tour, the Hip Hop Gods tour, to hype on the new material, and to continue speaking the truths they have been made themselves well known for. Opening will several other legends of New York rap, including EPMD, Black Sheep, hip hop goddess MC Lyte, and Jersey legends Naughty By Nature. This is a must attend for true hip hop fans, a will be a chance hip hops graduation onto a new plateau. Things get started around 7pm at the Atltanta Civic Center, and tickets start at about $48.
